Through the Dress the Christmas Tree collection, you can participate in ensuring that a child in a low-income family receives at least one gift. Diaconal workers deliver the gifts to families and single-person households that need them the most. Years of experience have taught us that donations bring tremendous joy to the recipients ─ and to those who donate.

Parishes in Helsinki organize the collection in November and December. Donations are welcome in the form of gift cards, which the recipients can use to purchase food or gifts that they need. From the First Advent Sunday on December 1st, many churches have Christmas trees from which you can pick up children's and families’ Christmas wishes. Some parishes also accept gift bags containing coffee, chocolate and woollen socks, for example.
