Which parish do I belong to? – This is how Helsinki districts are divided into parishes
Parish union
There are 16 Finnish and 3 Swedish Evangelic-Lutheran parishes in Helsinki. Your parish is determined based on your home address. You either belong to a Finnish or a Swedish parish in your district. As a member, you can choose whether you want to be part of the Finnish or the Swedish parish in your area.
You can check which parish you belong to on your personal data records on the Suomi.fi-website. You may also ask the Helsinki parishes’ Central Register, tel. 09 2340 8000 Mon-Fri 9-15.
You are welcome to attend services, events, and other activities in any parish regardless of which parish you officially belong to.
