Helsinki parishes invite church members who will turn 10 this year to celebrate their ‘first ten’ together with their family at Linnanmäki.

We have compiled a list of frequently asked questions and their answers. Below you will find more detailed information about buying wristbands and the day of the celebration. It's worth a look! If you still have questions after reading the following answers, you can contact us at 10synttarit.hsrky@evl.fi.

1. How many tickets (or wristbands) can one family buy?

We release tickets in two phases to ensure that all families have the possibility to join in on the fun. In the first phase, from March 3rd to March 16th, you can buy two wristbands, one for the ten-year-old being celebrated and the other for their escort. If there are any wristbands left after the first phase, we will put them up for sale for €15/ticket. You can find more information on the potential second sale on this page on Tuesday March 18th.

2. We are a family of six. Why can't we buy tickets for everyone at once?

We want to provide a smooth visit to Linnanmäki for all ticketholders, and therefore we have to limit the number of participants. We have invited almost 3,000 ten-year-olds to the event. In order to make sure they all have a chance to participate, we have set a limit of two wristbands per family for the first phase of sales. See previous answer for more details.

3. Our 10-year-old has not been invited to the event. What should we do?

An invitation was sent out in January to members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Helsinki, i.e. parish members, who will be 10 years old this year. Sometimes, for various reasons, the invitation may be delayed or lost in the mail. If your family member turns 10 this year and is a member of an Evangelical Lutheran parish in Helsinki, you can register and buy a wristband on our website. If your family has a non-disclosure for personal safety reasons, please contact us at 10synttarit.hsrky@evl.fi.

4. Can we register for the event without buying wristbands if we are not yet sure if we can make it?

No, you can only register by purchasing the wristbands.

5. Who needs a wristband?

Those aged four and over need a wristband to enter the event. Siblings under the age of four can enter without a wristband and will be admitted to rides in accordance with Linnanmäki's age limits. Rides for children under the age of four are free of charge.

6. Does the escort have to have a wristband even if they do not enter the rides?

Yes. This is a private event, and each visitor will need a wristband to enter.

7. Are Linnanmäki season tickets valid for the event?

No. This is a private event, and each visitor will need a wristband to enter.

8. Our 10-year-old has an EU Disability Card. Does our family need wristbands?

10-year-old doesn´t need to buy a wristband and neither does his/her assistant. They can pick wristbands up free of charge at the parish ticket office at Linnanmäki gate on the morning of the celebration. Therefore please let us know in advance your needs and names by emailing 10synttarit.hsrky@evl.fi. To prove the need for an assistant, we accept the EU Disability Card with an A symbol indicating the need for an assistant or a medical certificate stating the need for an assistant.

9. Parents cannot attend, what should we do?

The child needs to be accompanied by one adult, who can also be a godparent or grandparent, for example. One adult can come with several ten-year-olds, as long as they remain supervised. If you don’t want to go on the wildest rides in Linnanmäki, our young volunteers can accompany your child.

Buying a wristband

10. Why do we need to provide social security numbers to buy wristbands?

The purchase is made using the child's social security number. The guardian’s social security number is also required. The social security numbers identify the customer in the customer register. This is necessary to keep the register up to date, reliable and accurate. The identification ensures that the rights and obligations of the data subject and of the controller are respected. Your social security number is not confidential information under the Finnish openness act (621/1999) or any other laws. The communication of the Helsinki parishes takes place in a secure church network, and all employees have signed a confidentiality agreement.

11. It seems that there was a problem during the registration or payment. How can we be sure that the purchase was successful and that we will get the wristbands?

You will receive an email confirmation, and the wristbands will be paid for immediately. Paytrail will also send a confirmation email of a successful payment. If you have any doubt, you should first check your bank account to see if the payment has been debited. There may also be a problem at the bank's end. Check your spam folder, too. Payment must be made within two hours of registration. If the payment has not been received within this time, an email will be sent informing you that your provisional registration has been cancelled. In this case, you can register and pay again. If necessary, you can try switching to another browser.

On the day of the event

12. Does Lintsi serve food?

Unfortunately, free food is not served. Some of the restaurants in Linnanmäki will be open during our private event and you can buy something to eat there. You can also bring your own picnic lunch.

13. Can we stay at Linnanmäki all day?

The private 10th Birthday Party will take place from 9 am to 1 pm. Wristbands for the rest of the day will be sold at half price at the Linnanmäki ticket office until 12.45 pm. Note! The half-price sale will end at 12.45 pm. After this time, wristbands will be sold at normal prices. The ticket office is located opposite the entrance to Taiga roller coaster. All wristband recipients must be present at the time of purchase, as the wristband will be attached to their wrist at the time of purchase. The wristband is valid for that day only. A valid season ticket can also be used for the rest of the day.

PS. And that's not all! SEA LIFE offers guests of the private event a QR code to book a visit to the marine world at half price! Tickets for SEA LIFE must be purchased in advance online at www.sealife.fi. The code is valid for one month from the date of the event and is only valid for tickets purchased online (one code per party, maximum of five people).
