The Sunday worship service

The Sunday worship service invites all Christians and all who are interested in the Christian faith to come together.

Malmi Lutheran Parish has five churches. Worship services with Holy Communion (Holy Mass) are held every Sunday at 10 a.m. in Viikki Church, at 12 a.m. in Puistola Church and at 11 a.m. in Pihlajamäki Church. Once a month, the worship service in Viikki Church is international.

During Holy Mass, the sacrament of Holy Communion (The Lord's Supper) is celebrated. All baptised church members are welcome to partake of the bread and wine served at the altar. Those who are not baptised Christians are welcome to come to the altar to receive a blessing. In addition to the sacrament, the worship service includes hymns, prayers, Bible readings, and the proclamation of God's Word.

Malmin seurakunta järjestää Suomen kielen tukiryhmiä. Opetus ei maksa.

Malmi Lutheran Parish organizes Finnish language support groups. They are free of charge.

Bible Group / Raamatturyhmä

Do you want to study the Bible in English or in easy Finnish?
In the group we read the Bible texts in a small setting. It is also possible to receive individual teaching.

Haluatko lukea Raamattua englanniksi tai helpolla suomen kielellä? Ryhmässä luemme ja kommentoimme tekstejä. Myös yksityisopetus on mahdollista.

Friendship Café / Ystävyyskahvila

Have you moved to Finland? Are you looking for an opportunity to meet new people and make friends? Perhaps you want to get a chance to speak some Finnish? Friendship Café is a meeting place open for all people from different cultural backgrounds and for those with an international mindset. Welcome to drop by or spend time together informally.

Oletko muuttanut Suomeen? Haluaisitko tavata uusia ihmisiä ja löytää ystäviä tai puhua vähän suomea? Tervetuloa käymään tai viettämään aikaa yhdessä. Friendship Café on vapaamuotoinen kohtaamispaikka heille, jotka ovat muuttaneet Suomeen eri kulttuureista ja heille, jotka ovat kiinnostuneita kansainvälisyydestä.

In autumn 2025 we will open on Thursday 4th September at 6 p.m. and we will be open every other Thursday evening.
Syksyllä 2025 avaamme 4.9. klo 18 ja olemme avoinna joka toinen torstai-ilta.

KESÄLLÄ / IN SUMMER 2025

Friendship Cafén kesäjuhla ja kansainväliset nyyttärit Pihlajamäen kirkon alakerrassa ja takapihalla torstaina 5.6. klo 18–20. Vapaamuotoinen illanvietto eri kulttuureista tuleville ja kansainvälisyydestä kiinnostuneille. Voit tuoda jotain pientä syötävää omasta kulttuuristasi yhteiseen pöytään (ei lämmintä ruokaa).

Friendship Café´s Summer Celebration and International Potluck. Join us for a relaxed evening in Pihlajamäki Church, basement and in the backyard, on Thursday, June 5, at 6-8 p.m. This event is for people from different cultural backrounds and for those with an international mindset. You can bring a small snack from your own culture to share (please, no hot food).

Rauhan olohuone

Rauhan olohuone jatkuu syksyllä 2025 kerran kuukaudessa tiistai-iltaisin 16.9., 14.10., 11.11. ja 9.12. klo 18 Malmin kirkolla, osoite Kunnantie 1.

Rauhan olohuone on monikulttuurinen keskusteluryhmä Suomeen muuttaneille aikuisille. Keskustelemme aiheista, jotka liittyvät elämään Suomessa. Kuuntelemme toisiamme ja opimme toisiltamme. Käytämme selkeää suomen kieltä, tarvittaessa apukielenä englanti. Ryhmä alkaa tasan klo 18. Ei lastenhoitoa. Ryhmässä mukana kansainvälisen työn diakonissa Minna-Sisko Mäkinen ja vapaaehtoinen Jari Meklin.
