What do we do in muskari?

In muskari classes we sing, play, dance, listen to the music and learn nursery rhymes. Muskari classes are held in Finnish. However you get along with very basic Finnish skills, since we are also learning the Finnish language with the children too. Muskari classes develop language, social and motor skills, helps grow imagination and makes music elements familiar by multisensory experiences. Muskari also strengthens the bond between the parent and the child and giving ideas how to continue musical playing at home.

Muskari classes in Malmi parish are based on Christian values. This means equality and zero tolerance for discrimination. We use some Christian children’s songs in our classes. You can attend muskari classes even though you don’t belong to or live in the Malmi parish area.
