Getting help and support
If your mind is burdened or you feel like you cannot cope, talking to someone will usually help. The church is there to offer support to people whatever they may be going through. Everything you tell us will be treated as strictly confidential.
All our services and support are offered free of charge, and you need not be a member of the church to access them.
At Kamppi Chapel you can meet with one of our staff or a City of Helsinki social worker. This service is available regardless of where you live, and there is no need to book an appointment.
You can make an appointment with one of our pastors or diaconal workers in your local parish, if something is troubling you. (The page in the link is in Finnish, but you may ask for help in English.)
Our pastors and diaconal workers are there to support you also when you face the death of a loved one.
Our family counselling services can help you in resolving marital problems and other personal crises.
When people fall ill or are hospitalised, they can often feel very uncertain about the future. Our hospital chaplains are there to support you and help you find a way forward.
Money troubles? If you need help with managing your finances, contact our diaconal team in your local parish and make an appointment.
If you are having problems with alcohol or drugs, our diaconal service has specialists to help you, also in English. Our staff can also support people facing homelessness or prison.
A range of specialist services are available for children and young people.
